READING NOOK FIREPLACE - KENT UK
What the clients said...
When I met Sanne and saw her balanced style and feeling for harmony int interior, we asked her advice. She came to have a look and immediately had some striking suggestions. Especially about the area which was the most problematic; the nooks on both sides of the fireplace. Following her advice, we moved a few pieces of furniture
around and with a few simple changes and some new purchases, the fireplace is now the center of a new, cosy and warm sitting area. It gives the whole room more coherence. This place has become one of our favorite spots to sit, and have a cup of tea or read a book in the evenings after dinner! RENATE - SEVEN OAKS - UNITED KINGDOM
After having moved into their new rental house these clients were struggling to create a cozy seating area around their fireplace. Especially it having two niches on either side and the room being a dining room as well was a challenge for them. After an initial chat, we decided for me to do an on-site consultation to see the current situation myself, and to think of possible solutions that would work for them. During my visit and further talks about the way they'd like to use this area of the room, I came up with the idea to install a few display ledges for their favorite books and accessories in one of the niches. For the other niche I suggested a daybed/ottoman and some cushions to use its space to a maximum by turning it into a cozy, inviting reading/relaxing nook to read a story to their young children or to have some quality me-time with a good glass of wine in the evening. I gave them suggestions for the optimal size and some colour suggestions for the daybed that would work well with the wall colour and rest of their interior items. That was all she needed to continue with their project and below you can see the photos she has sent me after following up on my advice and I think she has done a great job!
